Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Junior Software Developer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will: Maintain and enhance our power management system (PMS), a critical component of our BESS solutions. Contribute to the development of new features, device support, and user-friendly interfaces. Play an active role in creating software frameworks for emerging technologies
Responsibilities:
Maintain and optimize the existing power management system (PMS) for robust performance. Develop and implement new features for the PMS to meet evolving requirements. Add support for additional hardware, such as inverters and Battery Management Systems (BMS). Enhance the GUI to improve usability for internal customers. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the AWS-based dashboard for monitoring and analytics. Help bridge the gap between customers and system interfaces by improving remote monitoring capabilities. Assist in setting up a new software framework for the Watt4Ever Battery Management System (BMS) currently under development. Actively investigate solutions for remote monitoring data connections and cybersecurity to ensure secure and reliable system operations.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in software engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field. Programming Skills: Proficiency in embedded C for Battery Management Systems (BMS) development. Development Frameworks: Understanding of programming within real-time control systems. Hardware Knowledge: Basic understanding of inverters, BMS, and their integration into power systems. Cybersecurity: Awareness of secure data communication practices. GUI Design: Ability to design and improve user interfaces for internal applications. Collaboration: Strong team player with good communication skills. Additional Assets: Experience with cloud integrations or IoT solutions. Experience with Wago PLC programming (Codesys) or similar industrial automation systems. Hands-on experience with industrial automation hardware. Dashboard Tools: Familiarity with Grafana for monitoring and visualization. Communication Protocols: Knowledge of Modbus, CANbus, and similar industrial communication protocols. A passion for renewable energy and sustainability. Additional Assets: Experience with cloud integrations or IoT solutions. Experience with Wago PLC programming (Codesys) or similar industrial automation systems. Hands-on experience with industrial automation hardware. Dashboard Tools: Familiarity with Grafana for monitoring and visualization.
